Camp Verde Travel Guide
Welcome to Camp Verde, AZ!
Camp Verde is located in the Verde Valley at the geographical center of Arizona, south of Sedona and Flagstaff. Self-directed outdoor activities figure highly, with hunting, fishing, camping and hiking found a short drive or walk away. A significant tourist draw to Camp Verde is the Sinagua Indian ruins found at the Montezuma National Monument, where thousands of years of history are seen at the ancient cliff dwellings. Explore the lives of the early settlers at Fort Verde, which offers a glimpse of the past, especially during the annual Pioneer Days festival as people celebrate the Arizonan frontier spirit. Three American Indian reservations can be found within the city limits, contributing culture and diversity to the area. The American Indian-run Cliff Castle Casino is also located in the town, offering a range of table games, food and live entertainment. As an alternative to hotel accommodations, camping areas are readily available in Camp Verde for both tents and RVs.
